Why we startedMost product videos are made by people who never opened the app. You can tell — and so can the trial user who closes the tab in the first ten seconds.

The start
NorthByte grew out of years spent editing SaaS marketing footage that looked slick and explained nothing. We wanted the opposite: videos built by someone who actually used the thing.
The work
We take on a handful of projects at a time so each one gets real attention. The person on the kickoff call is the person cutting your video.

How we actually work

Fewer hands between you and the edit.

There’s no account team and no hand-off chain here. These are the four habits that keep a project honest from the first call to the last export.

We use it before we describe it

A new login, a real task, and notes on where we got stuck. If a step confuses us, it will confuse your trial users too.

Words before pixels

You approve the script and storyboard before anything is animated. It’s far cheaper to change a sentence than a finished scene.

You see it early, and often

Rough cuts go out while there’s still time to react. The two revision rounds are for fine-tuning, not for finding surprises.

You keep everything

Final video in every size, plus the editable script. If your product changes next quarter, you’re not starting from zero.
